Hello everyone!

My name is Garrie O'Neill. My company, OneCall, is an approved vendor for telecommunications services. I have started this discussion not to sell but to educate. In truth, sales come as a result of people's understanding as to how Unified Messaging helps Realtors in their-day-to-day lives. It is my goal to discuss this service generally, as there are vendors other than OneCall providing this service. I hope that you can come here, learn about this exciting new technology, and make an informed choice based on what is best for you.

I look forward to exchanging information.

How does this service compare to accessline.com

Joel:

The specific service provided by OneCall is called Mobile Manager. AccessLine's equivalent service is called SmartNumber. Since OneCall is a dealer for AccessLine, the service is virtually identical, except we have molded its use for Realtors®. Moreover the set up fee we negotiated is substantially less.

For those that do not know what either of those services are: AccessLine's SmartNumber, and OneCall's Mobile Manager is Unified Messaging with Find-Me-Follow-Me. UM Services provide a single number, local or toll free, that you provide as your only contact number. You then gain the control of your communications, by taking calls at whichever phone you happen to be near. We recommend land line first, cell phone as a last resort. You can also receive faxes at the same number. You can work from home and have people call your UM number. Calls can be screened if you choose and then forwarded to your home. No one has any idea where you are, or that you are still in your pajamas!. (BTW, as a bi-product many people save substantially on their cell phone usage.)

With Unified messaging technology you can:

Forward calls to any phone

Pick up voicemail and faxes by phone, on line, or even in your e-mail

Forward voicemail and fax messages to anyone by e-mail.

Make outbound calls keeping your initiating phone number private (the caller ID shown the person you are calling is the UM number)

Some services even allow you to upload documents from your own computer to your UM account, annotate them, add your signature previously scanned, then deliver them as an attachement in an e-mail or deliver them as a fax with coversheet.

We encourage users to fax all paper documents that come in to you for any transaction, say, from the title comany, or mortgage company, to your UM account. Create a transaction file on your computer and download all voicemail, faxes, emails, pictures, beautysheets... everything to that transaction file. Then forward that file to a flash drive to take to a closing. All documents, electronic and otherwise, plus voicemail in one message store.

That is unified messaging service for a single user.

I have had an Acces line for several years now. I just use the auto schedule to track my wheer abouts as I have a consistent schedule. I love the ability to send and receive faxes as you can quickly fax your transaction paperwork to all parties with out touching any paper. My employer provides this service to me so I am unaware of the costs compared to other services.

I've used AccessLine (One Call) for many years and I find it to be very useful. There are many ways to set-up your extensions (where and how your call will be handled) to best suit your specific needs. I've also had an 800 number for years that I switched between several major phone companies over the years because of the outrageous fees they charged. I finally asked Garrie if AccessLine had a service that I could use. I was very pleased to find out that I could move my 800 number to Accessline and have it attahed to my One Call number whitch allows me to direct it with my other calls. That was a smart move!

Thanks

Well Joel, the cost is $18.95 + tax. Is that a good value for a REALTOR?

Ed, we are delighted to have you on our service!

One of the opportunities a user has with this service is to set it up so the caller hears: Hi this is (your name). If you would like to speak with me touch 0. If you just want to leave a message stay on the line.

AT&T says that 55% of callers don't need to speak with you. Our experience is for those Realtors whose cell phone bill is arounf $80.00 a month or higher, they can actually drop down one level in cell usage and save $20. Since Mobile Manager is $18.95, that is a good thing.
