This weekend, Saturday and Sunday is the annual Better Home and Living Show at the Dickinson County Expo Center here in Spirit Lake (located off of Hwy 71 behind Hy Vee). Stop by the DOWDEN-HINN REALTORS booth to visit me. Say you saw this on my blog and get a free gift from me! I'll be manning our booth Saturday 11-1 and Sunday 2-4. Okoboji Bath & Body, located on Hwy 71 S. next to Ranch 66 is a great place for the "girls" to have a little bit of Fragrance Fun! With rows of fragrances to sample and many different types of lotions, candles, fresheners, etc., to try, this sweet little gem of a store is a MUST on your Okoboji visits. You personally select your fragrance type, lotion type and even color of the lotion! Lori is always there to help you with your selection and mixes it up "just right" for you! Take a look at their website and you'll surely want to stop in to smell each and every scent. Don't forget to check out the rest of the store as well. It's a great place to shop for yourself or stock up on gifts! Personally, I'm hooked on the Stardust lotion in Miracle-like scent colored pink! Don't take my word for it... stop in and tell Lori "Dawn sent you" then be sure to add your favorite products below. Oh, and just to be politically correct - guys are always welcome too!

Jun. 19, 2006 - Bike Trail
Let's go for a Ride!
Below is a map of our GREAT Dickinson County Bike Trail. I've been on this blacktopped trail often and can say it's offered many of peaceful rides. The terrain is relatively flat with a few hills along the section between Lower Gar and Milford as well as the lake loop around Big Spirit Lake. The trail takes the rider through the heart of the Iowa Great Lakes Tourist area with plenty of rest stops, shops, & food along the way. The alternate routes along the county roads is not one to be fooled by. Some hefty hills and winds can add challenge to any ride.
