I have the 650, which I have grown to sort of love... Anyway, I can't wait to see it fhe Pre is going to be able to open Supra boxes and do the mlx code. I am sure it will provide the mlx code as that is just software. I am sooo tempted to get an iPhone as a second but I already have 5 computers and don't need yet another piece of equipment to synchronize and maintain....

Hi Dick,

You know my preference!

Just hope my 700P "lives' long enough for the Pre to be released. I really think I NEED the Palm Pre!

Sprint is NOT a service that I can use. Keep us posted on AT&T. Any chance for Verizon service?

From all of your discussions, the iPhone would not be a consideration for me, providing I can get a Pre. Would you agree?

Dick,

I have reading/following you since I took the ePro class 3 years ago. I have Treo700P which I love (have loved). It developed a problem last week - clicking on and off all day for 2 days, unusable. Took it to Verizon who told me it was dead - radio dead and all I could do was get a new phone. Not ready to make a decision on the spot so came home. In a matter of frustration told my phone to perform wireless sync and it did! Has been working since, but I am holding my breath. Love everything the Treo does, but wonder if I am going to be able to hold out for Pre. Verizon office had never heard of it. FYI two other friends, realtors, who have the same phone, had same issues at same time I did, but theirs didn't recover. Verizon says its us - can't be a syst em problem. Hard to believe that 3 700P died same day, especially in this small burg we live in. What is anticipated release of Pre? If my phone dies again soon, what is your suggestion?

Hi Dick,

I've attended classes you've taught in Knoxville and then I sat in on your class in Orlando. You and I sat and talked in the lobby while waiting. I've been using a Palm, I think since one of the first was introduced. I now have the Centro but I'm having issues with the keypad and trying to text. I've had Treo but numerous problems. I'm now trying to decide if I want to moving into the Blackberry World with the Storm or wait out the Pre. I've seen the pictures and information. What do you think? I have my Outlook and I basically love this phone. It fits well in my hand and easy to handle. I'm just torn about my next step...give me your thoughts.

Thanks

Cheryl,

I remember you! You watched my tech bag while I went to the, nevermind I remember.

Gee for you I think you might want to wait on the Pre, I think being a 10 year veteran of Palm OS it might be easier to change over, even with the Pre having a new operating system. Another thing I read in your comment, not happy with the Centro keyboard. I am not a fan of "Thermal Keyboards", multi-tasking is a way of life, whether on a call, having a conversation with somebody or something you should never do driving. The full QWERTY keyboard that slides out of the back of the Pre might work for you. If you decide Blackberry then consider a model with a keyboard you like.

I would just limp along for a few more months.

That's great...you remembered. I also thank you for the PDA Net. I was shocked I didn't know that one but signed up as soon as I got back to hotel. It is awesome. I spent Nov and Dec at hospital with my dad and could never sign on to the hospital wireless but used my PDANet and never missed a beat. Not paying for those expensive air cards either. I trust you and I'm going to hold on until I can get the Pre. I'm just so comfortable with the Palm platform. Oh, and thanks for this great group.

Cheryl,

Thanks for the kind words! I think the iPhone and Blackberry panel members where thinking they would walk away champs, guess they didn't!

LOVE PDA Net and always happy to hear stories of how folks saved money or used the program. I recently got an email from Russia from a past student telling how they were using PDA Net and wanted to send me an email. So guess "From Russia with Lovin PDA Net"

Dick
