Dick,
Tried your test and my phone began a sync with my colleague's computer. So, if it's my computer, what is it?? Could it be the USBs?
Ann Hobbs
Ann,
Good news it's not the 755p, bad news it's your computer. Yes something is causing the 755p not to be found. Here's a few things;
Make sure your hotsync manager is turned on, the little blue and red circle in the task bar.
Have you loaded any new programs since you had problems. One of the biggest concerns is camera software. They take over a USB causing it to not talk to your handheld.
Some folks can refresh the USB ports and it works.
If you get some sort of IT help be prepared to argue, they always blame the device but we know it's the computer.
Dick
I do have a Flip video camera that may be the culprit. If you can tell me how to refresh the USBs, I'll give that a go.

Ann,
The name tag above my shirt pocket says "Does Not Give Computer Advice". I have my hands full with what I am doing and stay clear of the workings of computers. Where's Mike Barnett or some of these computer guru's when we need them. Hopefully somebody in the room will jump in. Give it time and we might see answer here!
Dick
Ann,
Just un-plug all USB devices ... except keyboard and mouse if you are using those...
Reboot the computer.
Plug in your phone to a USB port... if all is well then it should activate and work...
If you get no joy from that, there may be more than a conflict going on...
Try uninstalling your sync software and then rebooting, and re-install the software.

Hi Dick (and Ann)... I am here, monitoring this fantastic group (and struggling with my new BB Storm ;-) If i undestand the thread it did start to sync with your friends PDA.., if that is correct then it is your PDA..
Let me know.., but resetting your USB ports is well beyond me... I would call the manufacturer of the computer, or MicroSoft (good luck with that one ;-) .., or Matt Ferrara www.realtown.com/members/educator has a great service..., if they can't fix it you don't pay....
Thank you, Larry! My hero...................
Ann
P.S. Mike, my phone did sync with my friend's computer, so not my phone (a little yea).
Does any one know if the Treo Pre will be approved by Supra?
Patti,
I did get an email from Supra and they do not have the Pre in house yet and have concerns about the BlueTooth and matching up. So let's say the jury is out for now.
Dick
