Many of you have commented asking for more help on which phone etc. I still believe there is not one size fits all smartphone. If you want me to suggest a phone please drop me an email off line so I can ask about 10 questions and then we can help you pick a phone.

It is very confusing and only going to get worse!!!!

Dick, have your heard of anyone actually reviewing the operating systemon the PRE?

I too get nervous of testing out a new OS - it never seems to live up to the hype - just look at Vista!

One other point, about the TREO PRE camera. While 3 megapixels will certainly be an improvement, remember that for real estate marketing photos, it is more the quality of that tiny plastic lens, and the input of available ambient light (apperture) than the MP's that will determine whether it can be used for listing photos. I suspect it may be ok for MLS or email usage in many instances, but probably not for print or media applications.

I agree with Dick that one of the major draw backs of the iPhone is that it is not easy to type quickly.

Dick, thanks for all of the insights and advice.

Same with data input on the Storm... While it is a cool device, I am just about ready to go back to the 8830 as the keyboard(s) (there are two) both lack the ability to navigate easily.

Hi Dick,

New wrinkle. I have a Treo 755p and I can't sync. Cable is fine (another agent has used it). I recently added Wireless Sync (I'm Verizon) after a bad, bad, bad phone crash. Any ideas? I have synced (or is that syunc?) since adding Wireless Sync. Help.

Sean,

I know someone who was at the show and got to play with it. It impressed him and he is very familar with the iPhone and Blackberry Storm and older Palm units. I have my request in for one but they aren't playing with me yet!

Mike and Sean,

I was on the national mall on the 20th and the temp was 20. I tried to use an iPhone to send an email, forget it with gloves on! I guess it needs the heat from your finger! So pulled out my trusty Treo and could type with gloves. HEY that's worth it there alone.

John,

I agree on the lens, BUT I have taken pictures with Palms and Treo and actually printed. I think the biggest thing is to practice, understand the lighting and go into the desktop software and clean it up.

Ann,

Oh boy this is the hardest problem to solve. Currently we don't know if it's your 755 or your computer. First thing I would do is to find a friend that has a Palm OS device and ask to sync to their computer. If sucessful you can stop it before it even starts because it asks "Do you want to make a new user", simply say no and stop the hotsync. This tells you it's your computer. If nothing happens then it's your 755, why don't you try this and let me know so we can process!
