Another issue. The phone (Palm 700 Treo) has pushed e-mail via wireless. When you press menu, info & scroll to mail, it's using memory even though everything has been deleted and no mail is showing anywhere. We've done a hard reset and it cleared ALL items out. Phone had been freezing. Supra e-Key would/could not download due to "not enough memory". Today, starting fresh, it's begun the same situation. Tech's don't seem to be able to figure out why.

Any advice?

Judy,

The call log can eat 2 to 3 meg of memory and most people never delete it. Every phone call you ever made, got or missed is in there. Go to call log, hit menu, and you will see purge. I normally pick older then 2 months. Also when you sync it sounds like it's moving stuff back into your phone. Quit wireless syncing, double check you deleted box in your email and be sure it's empty.

Judy?

Is this a Treo 700W, Treo 700WX or a Treo 700P?

If it is a Treo 700W or 700WX, press and hold the "OK" button and a "Running Programs List" window pops up.

Simply pick each program that you do not need "running" and select "Stop," or simply click "Stop All." Nothing you do here is permanent or harmful, so don't be afraid to do it.

That should free up memory for what you want to do.
