I'm new to the BB Tour and so far like it. I had the older BB for about 4 years (and used a separate phone.). Now I'm using the Tour for phone and email together. There are a few give-ups. Little things, but still--
-If you have a phone number that is in letters ("dial 1-800-MATTRES" you can't figure out what numbers (on the phone keypad) match to the letters.
-The Notepad section on the old blackberry was a great place to keep passwords, etc. It isn't available on the Tour (at least I haven't found it yet)
-The contacts section keeps phone and email, but not addresses. (at least I haven't figured out how yet)
But the screens are clear, the search function great, the colors are good, and once you get used to the keypad (* and # are in different places than on a phone) and you get used to the small keys, it's fine.

Hi Janet, The Tour does have a place for Memos. select the Blackberry, find Applications and open it up. You'll see Memos and can add your passwords there. Applicataions is where you'll find the calculator too. Good Luck! Judy
I've had the Tour for about a month now, after switching from the Palm 700wx which kept freezing up on me. Although I loved the touch screen on the Palm, after getting comfortable with the BB, am able to navigate around just as quickly.
Of course, Verizon has the best service (in my opinion) so haven't had any problems with connections.
The one question I have is does anyone know how to get the BB to auto-complete words as they are typed? The Palm had this feature and it made typing a text or email real fast. If its not available on the BB, I wonder if they can make this type of upgrade that can be dowloaded?

Nancy,
Try www.crackberry.com, that web site has been a life saver for me. I have the Curve but am considering an upgrade to either Storm 2 or the Tour, my daughter has the Tour and absolutely loves it.
