What's a good SmartPhone to buy if you are with Verizon

Need a new Smart Phone. At present my husband has a Blackberry Curve but is considering the purchase of a Storm. His plan was for me to take his 4 yr BB Curve .I recently visited the AT&T store as we both have contracts with them. I learned that I will be eligible for an upgrade in Sept. 09. (Currently I use an LG) I can upgrade to the Storm for $59 w/ a 2yr agreement. Mudding the water a bit, there are several in our office who prefer the I-Phone. How do you feel that the I-Phone compares with the Storm?.
Thanks so much for sharing.

It definitely depends who your talking to. I am so confused by now. All I want is something with Verizon that I can run outlook for e-mail and contacts-is that so hard.and maybe tether Whats the big difference between the curve and the storm, anyway.
Hope someone can answer our questions

I went from BB curve to BOLD O(with AT &T- I would be with Verizon but I live in a valley and their service blanks out here) and I hate it.
So be careful. Also -- I find the Palm much easier to use -- much more user friendly in every way.
Can move to calendar with 1 button to make an appt while on the phone. Can write with my fingernail on the touch screen.
I have notes in my data base and they are THERE on my cell.
Dial a number with just the initals.
If i have a note beside a phone number ie their asst's name or husbands cell, the number will still dial-- BB can't do it.
In any field, highlight a phone number and it will dial-- BB wont' even highlight it.
Can copy and paste via the touch screen with half or less steps.. the list goes on and on...
To hot sync, I push one button on the cradle and walk away-- BB doesn't even have a cradle that does anything BUT charge. To Hot sync it you must "babysit" it to accept each models changes...
Why ???
And here is the show stopper if I expect to have any time to do RE business
I install the software, synd and get going in 30 minutes. My BB hasn't synced rigth since I got it-- the Memo pad doesn't sync-- when my tech guy was out-he coulndn't fix it either. After a bout 2 weeks BB service called me and they couldn't fix it and furthermore he messed up ALL my syncing and coudlnt' fix it so I'm really stuck-- I'm going to have to go back to a Palm. I hope the PRE has less crashing issues, and I have heard that many people have their email set to essentially push-- so why devote your life to BB?
Comments?
When is Verizon suppose to get the Pre? Can you run your e-mail with outlook and contacts?
Re: Blackberry vs. Palm, I do agree that the synch process is much easier with Palm; no babysitting at all. In fact, I used to put my Treo 700w on the cradle, do whatever I needed in Outlook, and without doing a thing, the new calendar items or contact records automatically transfered to my Treo. BB needs to correct this situation. But I do want to correct something you said: there IS a cradle for BB that is used to synchronize. I have one for each of my computers (2 different locations). Here's the odd thing: I can leave my Storm in the cradle on one computer, and it will be ready to synch, but also charges. On the other computer, it will only synch in the cradle, not charge. To charge, I have to put it on a separate charger plugged directly into the wall. Go figure. I definitely like the Storm better for typing email/text --- the buttons on the Treo were so tiny it was hard to get anything right. I also love the big screen on the Storm.
I love the BB with wireless sync, I am using the Curve 8330, anytime...anywhere just click on sync right from your phone works great with Top Producer. I have been thinking of upgrading to the Storm glad to hear you like it. After five years with Treo, constant dropped calls (AT&T) and rebooting I finally gave up on Palm a year ago and have never looked back. I also switched to Verizon, seems to be the best for Hawaii.Re: Blackberry vs. Palm, I do agree that the synch process is much easier with Palm; no babysitting at all. Susan, I had Verizon to start with, then switched to AT&T when the V two year contract was up, simply because AT&T didn't require but a 1 year contract. Could not wait for that year to be up!! NOT good service, constantly dropping calls, etc. Went right back to Verizon, and while I get annoyed sometimes because VMs don't always show up when they should, the cell service is so much better! I think I won't be leaving Verizon any time soon. If you get a Storm, I hope you like it --- it was a world apart from the Treo for me.
