<p> Last year in November I decided my old eyes had too much difficulty reading the small screens and decided to go with notebook computer with an air card instead of the phone with access. I have been very pleased with the flexibility. One location for e-mail and databases yet it will sync with my phone. I know it is a bit more bulk but the easy of seeing the screen and having the complete computer plus being able to do contracts with the digital pen right on the screen seemed the way to go and after 7 months I would do it again. </p>

My service contract with T-Mobile has also ended, so I might be going with Verizon or AT&amp;T, because my company has an agreement with them. I have several questions. </p> <p> Regarding service providers, does anyone have recommendations, particularly for service in the south Jersey area? (southern Ocean and northern Atlantic counties) </p> <p> I&#39;d like a phone I can use to hook up my computer in areas that don&#39;t have W-Fi or are on secured networks (for client presetations etc.). I see much discussion about Centro, Treo and Blackberry. This allows an email to come to your Smartphone as a text message within seconds after a person sends you an email. In most of my testing it&#39;s less then 20 seconds, this depends on your email host.<br /> <br /> First hopefully you have went with an email hosting company that provides you with either unlimited email addresses or at least one hundred. Create an email address like Hot@ YourName.com or Important@ YourName.com.<br /> <br /> After you have the new email address go to your web mail account and look for Configuration then Email forwarding. Enter the email to your Smartphone and I suggest check keep a copy of each forwarded email. <p> I have just discovered that many, many of my contacts have disappeared since I&#39;ve been using my Treo 755p. Where did they go? I assume they were synced away, but why did the phone get &quot;selective?&quot; Seems like most of the lost had addresses attached. It&#39;s really sort of random. Hey, I need that stuff! <p> As of Monday of last week, I am packing a Centro on my right hip. Sweet. </p> <p> I downloaded DataViz DocsToGo so that I could see and edit some docs that I use frequently but it will not install. I have been back and forth with their tech support all last week and I&#39;m of the opinion that they are clueless. </p> <p> Does anyone know of an alternative to DocsToGo? </p> <p> Has anyone experience a problem with installing this product on the Centro? </p> <p> Thanks! </p>

<p> Sure didn&#39;t think I&#39;d be asking for help this soon, but there you go...you just never know do you? I was syncing my 700P to my Agent Office updates. I update more on Agt Office. I had 2 errors come up saying another program had changed the set up. Now I did notice that Documents To Go, was now on my Palm Desktop and seems to have &quot;activated&quot; it&#39;s self. I&#39;ve never used the docs to go and am not sure how to use it, so why it activated, I don&#39;t have a clue. So, I went to change things back but it has some extras (it seems) that I don&#39;t recall seeing before, so I&#39;m not sure how the settings should be. </p> <p> It shows: Quick Install, Versa Mail, memos, Docs To Go all are DO Nothing. </p> <p> Agt. Activities, Agt. contacts are set to Sync., (I was told to have only these sync, per my notes.) </p> <p> Calendar, tasks, contacts; These 3 are set to DO Nothing. </p> <p> Install, Install service templates, Install All to Card; all are ENABLED. </p> <p> Backup says handheld overwrites desktop. (I would think it shoud be opposite.) </p> <p> Can you tell me if these are the correct settings? After one of the updates, it showed double of the agt. activities &amp; agt contacts, but I don&#39;t see that it has doubled anything when I do a search on the phone. I registered it and got 20% (First purchase) off at the Palm Store <a href="http://www.Palm.com">www.Palm.com</a> and now I see the keyboard I got 20% off on is now $10.00 cheaper still (only $69.99) so if anyone is interested, now is the time. IT is cheaper than at any Office supple store or electronics store. It is Bluetooth and very cool. </p>

<p> Hi Everyone! </p> <p> Sometime ago I set up categories such as in my contacts:Buyer, Family, Seller, Other, Seller &amp; Buyer, attorney, electrician, etc. You get the picture. Well, I see it but can&#39;t figure out how to actually use it to do a search. Say, if I&#39;ve forgotten a name, but do know I want a list of electricians. Can you advise? OR maybe it&#39;s not meant to do a search using the category? If not? Why is it on the phone? I have a Palm Treo 700. </p>

<p> My TREO Palm 680 had a feature that allowed me to pre-set the AREA Code that I dial the most. I can not and I am not sure the feature is available on my TREO Windows 750. Does anyone know if there feature is available on the windows based phone? </p>

<p> Just got an email from an agent who&#39;s Smartphone might have taken a beating at the beach and I wanted to pass along some thoughts. </p> <p> Sand is not a friend to electronics, the sand can get in behind keys and buttons causing them to not work! </p> <p> If you use a stylus with your device the sand dust will grind your screen leaving permanent scratches on the glass. </p> <p> Putting them in a plastic bag might not be the answer either, if there is moisture in the bag you are giving your phone a sauna. </p> <p> You might look better with a tan but your Smartphone doesn&#39;t. Direct sun heating up the device can ruin the screen. Now don&#39;t panic, we are not talking a few minutes in the sun doing damage. </p> <p> Oh suntan lotion is tough to clean off buttons and keys. </p> <p> The biggest thing to remember your Smartphone is not amphibious. <p> Hi, Guys! I am new to this discussion and this may have been covered. If so, please point me to the information because this is driving me nuts! I really like my new Treo but...I am having trouble with emails. The emails themselves are coming through just fine. The problem is how many copies I get. Time Warner (TW) is telling me this is the only way to set this up. So, I get one copy to my Treo, two copies to my laptop and one copy is saved to the server. This necessitates going into webmail several times daily to empty the server. The number of emails it takes to fill up the server varies as to the size of emails received so it makes it difficult to know when to empty before receiving the message that I have reached the high water mark. At that point emails are bouncing. </p> <p> Please, if anyone else has this set up (Treo and TW), please let me know if this is how you are set up. It really sounds crazy!
