What could be better?! This sounds like a lot of fun, I just might have to spend a Saturday this way soon:

That sounds like a great way to spend an afternoon. Done this on several occasions, although not with a tour. It's easy to launch kayaks right in front of the Marine Room in La Jolla, go explore the sea caves, jump overboard for some snorkling, ride a little in the surf on the way back if you're daring, then head over to Jose's in downtown La Jolla. Casual place with great Mexican food and lots of beer choices. I haven't tried El Charro yet, but I'm sure that's good too.
