Cityscape Condos open for viewing, occupancy
By Brenda Richardson |Chicago Tribune reporter- August 8, 2008
Cityscape Condominiums, a 42-unit landmark clock-tower complex in St. Ben's/North Center neighborhood, has completed phase one for occupancy and model viewing.
Four of six buildings at 3905-3935 N. Western Ave. are finished. The fifth building is under construction, and the final building breaks ground in September.
The $35 million development is 33 percent sold and attracting residents who seek spacious condominiums and abundant upgrades.
The 1,200-square-foot two-bedroom, two-bath plus den units have two balconies and cost $359,000 to $429,000.
At 1,860 square feet, the three-bedroom, two-bath units have private terraces or private rooftop decks and cost $499,000 to $619,000.
All three-bedroom homes are accessed via private elevator. Two-bedroom homes are accessed via private elevator lobbies. Indoor heated parking is included.
Westward Development Co. and I&M Construction designed Cityscape to resemble nine adjacent city buildings. Each portrays a typical Chicago industrial, loft, warehouse or apartment façade from past generations and includes Louis Sullivan-type filigrees and classic design elements.
All kitchens have stainless-steel appliances, granite or marble countertops, 42-inch cherry cabinets and large islands with breakfast bars. Two full bathrooms in each unit have spa features such as soaker tubs, natural stone and marble finishes and separate baths and showers. Bedrooms have huge walk-in closets and private balconies. The building has fiber-optic wiring for Dolby sound, plasma TV and common-area coverage, plus a dog run, dog washing station and lush landscaping.
For more information, visit the on-site models at 3935 N. Western, open Saturdays and Sundays from noon to 3 p.m., or call Keleghan at 773-524-4499.
