Round Rock needs public's help in commuter study The City of Round Rock wants the community's help in making more informed and better strategic decisions on transportation investments needed. A commuter study is about to kick off, and it will determine the time competitiveness of a rail trip over a typical trip in your car for daily commutes to Central Austin. People interested in helping will be asked to keep a log of their drive times for five days, including total drive times and time taken to run errands. In addition, participants must note what entrances and exits they use on Interstate 35 To qualify, drivers must live in Williamson County, commute daily on I-35 and work in Central or Downtown Austin. The survey will be conducted from April 20-May 1. Anyone interested can download the driver's log from the city's Web site and send the data back by May 9. Click here for more specific instructions.
