• Monday, January 16, 2006 - Ending Gridlock!
Don't get mad tomorrow when you're stuck in traffic. Instead do something about it. Go to the upcoming January 25th meeting of the Sacramento County Board of Supervisors. At 3:00 PM will be discussion of the County General Plan. The Environmental Council of Sacramento, or ECOS, will present its 2050 sustainable Transportation Vision.
ECOS is working with the Supes and others concerned about our future to develop a new transporation paradigm for the entire Sacramento Region. ECOS will be offering its plan for "Real Transportation Choices Rather Than Gridlock." The ECOS Vision was modeled by U.C., Davis and published by the Mineta Institute in 2005.
