Awendaw, SC - Local Market Update - March 19, 2007

What once was a sleepy little communty is starting to explode - Awendaw, SC 29429. The tremendous growth that Mount Pleasant (to the South) has seen over the past few years is spilling over. The estimated population for Awendaw in July 2004 was 1,196 and should rise rapidly in the next decades to come. Presently still rural in character but close to everything. New Homes tend to be larger in size here and on lot sizes usually over 1/2 acre in size. Driving time to downtown Charleston is approx. 30 minutes. The land here is beautful, large oaks and marsh views are plentiful.

In Awendaw, SC 29429 - Houses sold in the last 12 months for 96.0% of list price with an average sales price of $634,596 with the average days on the market at 88 days. This town is poised for big growth in the future with its natural lowcountry beauty and short drive to the Beaches & Charleston SC Metro Area.
