Healthy Home Foods, Inc.

Recently my Husband and I were referred by a friend to a local organic food delivery service. At first we were a little reluctant to change any of our shopping, eating or cooking habits, but with the basis of organic food at the same price as what we were spending at the local grocery store we decided to hear them out.

The 5 basic priorities of Healthy Home Foods are:

1. Food Safety
2. Convenience & Service
3. Health & Nutrition
4. Taste
5. Affordability

After Craig, or Food Counselor, explained the quality of organic food that we would be receiving, the satisfaction guarantee and the comparable cost he had our attention. Then he fired up the stove. After thawing the flash frozen packages of meat and vegetables, Craig cooked for us. We were amazed that he was able to cook two free range chicken breasts, two ozark belgain beef burgers and two bison burgers in one pan with no oil or seasoning. There were no fat splatters, grease to drain or signifigant shrinkage of the meat. The taste was incomparable. Fresh, juicy, lean and delicious!

We signed up for 6 months of food service and referred a few friends as well!  We are very excited about less trips to the store, healthy food and supporting a local business. So, if you recieve an invitation to a BBQ at our house it would be in your best interest to attend.

How is the service so far?  According to your post, it's only been about 11 days, but we're wondering if you opted for the freezer, generator, cookware, etc.  If so, have they been delivered?  I called the company and asked who the manufacturer is for the 21 cu ft "commercial" freezer.  They stated Figidaire - whom doesn't produce a 21 cu ft commercial freezer, only a consumer.  There are a number of other perks that seem to outweigh the expense, but it will be interesting to see over the next several months/years whether there is a noticeable decline in our food bills.  If nothing else, I'll still have a generator during the next hurricane season...

v/r,

Rob

Wow!  I have been with HHF service now for three months (since December of 07).  Any of you that were thinking of trying it, do it.  There was no question with our family...hmmm...choose organic/natural meats from a freezer in my house or go to Wal-Mart, Publix, Bi-lo and pay more for meat that is treated with who knows what.  It was no contest for us.  Give them a call and try the Cafe!

I have the same questions.  We received an invitation for a free dinner, no sales pitch, not selling anything.  Just want to present our services.  Now I think that is not exactly true.

I home generator, a commercial freezer?  Bet those are not free.

Should I accept the dinner invite?

Sebastien

When Healthy Home Foods does their free presentation the presentation is free.  They do try to sell you their product but they cater their product according to your food budget and current eating habits.  They call it a lateral movement of dollars.  Basically they are competing for the money you spend at the grocery store.

Frigidare does make a commercial freezer but it is sold under a different brand name.  Also the Healthy Home Foods freezer is "commercial rated" freezer when means that is has the warranty of a commercial freezer (much longer warranty)
