June 2006

• Jun. 2, 2006 - A sign of the times?

WOW! We are out of signs! What am I talking about ?? We are out of our firm's real estate signs that go on the posts.. so yes, I have naked posts out there awaiting their signs.  Sign company says it is an industry wide problem right now as homes are sitting on the market longer and signs are staying out as long as the lingering listings. So we have a rush order going and we hope to have our signs all up this weekend.  Try telling your client that the reason they have a naked post is we have too many listings not selling.  Yes, the market has turned.  Turned for the better for buyers.  For sellers, you have a lot of competition.  What are you doing to differentiate your home?  Does your REALTOR know how many other homes are in your price range in your town? Is your agent keeping you posted as to what is selling and what is not?  Are you comfortable with your REALTOR's efforts. Truth is, right now , no matter what we do, there are just a lot of homes on the market, and it just takes longer.  As long as you and your agent are working as a team and have trust in the efforts, don't worry - it will sell.. it may take some more effort, it may take a lessor price - but it will sell.
